How to play The Epic Story of Blank and Blank
in 5 steps
The rules of The Epic Story of Blank & Blank are quite simple.
Here’s a quick overview in 5 steps:

Step 1: preparation
Shuffle the deck and stack it on the table. Divide the teams, according to the amount of players. Three players means one monster, two teams (e.g. red and blue). For five players, choose one monster – the monster always conquers the world alone – and two teams of two heroes. For seven players, have three teams of two players and again: one monster.

Step 2: domination ensues
The monster and the other teams take four cards from the stack and the monster now chooses two cards with which he or she will forge plans for world domination. The two cards that don’t make the selection are put on the reserve spot on the monster’s team board. Now it’s time to tell an epic tale of world domination with just an image and a text card in front of the monster. Enslavement of the human race is also a valid option!

Step 3: the heroes step in
After the monster has shared his or her evil plans with the rest of the players, it is time to react! Teams take a maximum of one minute per card to construct a story that will save the world from the evil plans that were just so carefully explained by the monster. Like the monster, the teams will have to come up with a story with two cards, the rest of the cards will go to the reserve spot on the team board. Depending on the amount of hero teams, a full round of counter stories will follow.

Step 4: voting time
After all stories have been told, it is time to cast your votes on the best story! You cannot vote for your own story, so basically you choose for a hero team or the monster to win. Victory points are awarded to the team or monster with the most convincing story!

Step 5: winning the game
The first player to reach five points wins the round! Player team boards will move to the left after a full round, ensuring that you’ll switch teams after every round – and every player gets the chance to be the monster!
